Three Ukrainian soldiers were killed and another seven were wounded in the Donbas conflict zone in the last 24 hours, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksandr Turchynov said on Tuesday.
"The militants fire heavy artillery and mortars, mainly from residential areas of the occupied towns," he said.
"Russia has once again applied its waste tactic "of using civilians as human shields to cover up its war crimes," Turchynov said.
As UNIAN reported earlier, on August 2, four Ukrainian soldiers were killed and another 15 were wounded in the Donbas conflict zone.
