Transport corridors across the contact line in the Anti-Terrorist Operation zone in eastern Ukraine will be temporarily closed when Russian-backed militants intensify shelling, according to the press service of Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council (NSDC).
"Given the increased number of shell attacks by Russian-terrorist groups, and to protect civilian lives, the transport corridor across the dividing line near the villages of Maiorske and Zaitseve will be temporarily closed," the NSDC said on Monday.
"In the event of shelling in other sectors, similar measures will apply to the other transport corridors," it said.
