The combined Russian-separatist forces attacked Ukrainian army positions in eastern Ukraine 22 times overnight, the press center of the Anti-Terrorist Operation wrote on Facebook on Thursday.
"From 18:00 to 06:00 Kyiv time on November 26, the terrorists resorted to provocations firing [on Ukrainian positions]. The invaders fired grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms in the direction of the town of Avdiyivka and the villages of Verkhniotoretske, Pisky and Opytne," the report says.

The mercenaries also fired anti-tank and automatic grenade launchers and small arms on our positions near Avdiyivka.

According to the General Staff, the Ukrainian military in the Donbas conflict zone may open fire in response only in case of threat to their life and health.
