The combined Russian-separatist forces attacked Ukrainian army positions in eastern Ukraine 17 times in the last day, the press center of the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) wrote on Facebook early Wednesday.
At night, the militants again fired on fortified positions of the Ukrainian troops to provoke them to return fire.
It is noted that the situation remains tense near the Donetsk airport. The enemy opened fire on the Ukrainian positions near the village of Pisky. The pro-Russian militants also fired from a grenade launcher at a fortified position of ATO forces near the village of Opytne, as well as a mortar near the mine of Butivka.
