The overall situation in the area of Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) remains tense: militants opened fire 67 times on the positions of Ukrainian troops, using small arms, rocket-propelled grenades, 82 mm and 120 mm mortars, the ATO press center reported on Facebook.
Shelling of Ukrainian fortified positions was launched along the whole demarcation line. Near Maryinka alone, militants attacked the Ukrainian positions 22 times using small arms and rocket-propelled grenades, according to the report.
"The situation near Krasnohorivka remains tense. Ukrainian strongholds in the area were attacked with 82 mm and 120 mm mortars, heavy machine guns and infantry fighting vehicles," according to the report.
Militants also attacked with mortars the Ukrainian troops near Krymske, Pisky, Novozvanivka, Talakivka and Maiorske.
"From the rocket-propelled grenades and heavy machine guns militants shelled our positions near the villages of Troitske, Novhorodske, Luhanske, Opytne and in the area of Butovka mine," the report says.
