Five Ukrainian soldiers were wounded in fighting in eastern Ukraine in the past 24 hours, according to a spokesman for the Ukrainian Presidential Administration.
"There were five wounded in action (WIA)," Andriy Lysenko, administration spokesman for Anti-Terrorist Operation issues, stated at a briefing in Kyiv on Tuesday, an UNIAN correspondent reported.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the combined Russian-separatist forces attacked Ukrainian army positions in eastern Ukraine 61 times in the past 24 hours, while three skirmishes – two in the town of Maryinka and one in the town of Avdiyivka – were reported.
