Ukraine reports 3 WIA in past 24 hours

Three Ukrainian soldiers were wounded in fighting in eastern Ukraine in the past 24 hours, according to a spokesman for the Ukrainian Presidential Administration.

"There were three wounded in action (WIA)," Andriy Lysenko, administration spokesman for Anti-Terrorist Operation issues, stated at a briefing in Kyiv on Wednesday, an UNIAN correspondent reported.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the combined Russian-separatist forces attacked the Ukrainian army positions in eastern Ukraine 39 times in the past 24 hours, shelling the town of Avdiyivka with the use of banned artillery systems.
