A skirmish took place in the village of Hranitne near the port city of Mariupol: the ATO forces repulsed the enemy attack, according to Ukrainian Defense Ministry spokesman for Anti-Terrorist Operation Andriy Lysenko.
"The Ukrainian troops repulsed the attack of militants on our fortified position in Hranitne," he said at a briefing in Kyiv on Wednesday, an UNIAN correspondent reported.
As UNIAN reported earlier, combined Russian-separatist forces attacked Ukrainian army positions in eastern Ukraine 57 times in the past 24 hours.
