Three Ukrainian soldiers were wounded in fighting in eastern Ukraine in the past 24 hours, according to Ukrainian Defense Ministry spokesman for Anti-Terrorist Operation Andriy Lysenko.
"There were three wounded in action (WIA)," he said at a briefing in Kyiv on Saturday, an UNIAN correspondent reported.
According to Lysenko, two soldiers were wounded during militant shelling in the village of Stanytsia Luhanska, while another one was wounded during the shelling in the town of Avdiyivka.
As UNIAN reported earlier, combined Russian-separatist forces attacked Ukrainian army positions in eastern Ukraine 39 times in the past 24 hours.
