The Donetsk Military and Civil Administration has said that the ceasefire was declared in the town of Avdiyivka until 17:00 on Wednesday, Deputy Head of the regional administration Yevhen Vilinskiy wrote on Facebook.
"Avdiyivka. Ceasefire until 17:00. Repair crews have started their work," he said.
He noted that the maintenance crews began work to restore power supply.
Earlier it was reported that Russian representatives to the Joint Center for Control and Coordination (JCCC) had provided written confirmation of ceasefire guarantees.
