Russia's hybrid military forces attacked Ukrainian army positions in Donbas 11 times on December 16, using weapons banned by the Minsk agreements, according to the press service of the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) Headquarters.
In the Luhansk sector, the invaders fired mortars of various types and infantry weapons on the Ukrainian strong points outside the villages of Troyitske and Krymske.

In the Donetsk sector, the situation was most tense near the Sea of Azov. The Russian occupation forces fired from 120mm and 82mm mortars near the villages of Hnutove and Pavlopil, while the defenders of the village of Vodiane came under fire from infantry fighting vehicles. In addition, the militants repeatedly violated the truce in the suburbs of Avdiyivka, using light infantry weapons.
