A Ukrainian soldier was killed by an enemy sniper in Donbas, eastern Ukraine, on the first day of the so-called Christmas ceasefire, according to the press service of the Ukrainian Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) Headquarters.
"He received a fatal wound near the Svitlodarska Duha bulge," the ATO HQ wrote on Facebook on Sunday morning.

In total, Russia's occupation forces violated the ceasefire in Donbas three times on December 23.
"The Russian terrorist troops cynically shelled the Armed Forces of Ukraine deployed near the village of Luhanske, the town of Avdiyivka and the village of Lebedynske in the afternoon yesterday," the ATO HQ said on December 24.
