The number of Ukrainian nationals illegally detained by militants of the Russian-occupation forces in Donbas has increased, according to First Vice-Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada and Ukraine’s representative to the humanitarian subgroup of the Trilateral Contact Group in Minsk, Iryna Gerashchenko, 112 Ukraine TV channel reported.
The humanitarian envoy’s statement came following a meeting at the presidential administration where Vasyl Hrytsak, head of the Security Service of Ukraine, provided an updated report on a number of hostages.
As of today, there are 170 Ukrainians in militant captivity, according to the SBU chief.
