Russia has expelled a number of Polish diplomats in response to the expulsion of Russian diplomats from Poland, the Department of Information of the Foreign Ministry of Russia has told an UNIAN correspondent.
"Yes, unfortunately, the Polish government took a really unfriendly and unreasonable step. Therefore, the Russian Federation has taken the appropriate measures and a number of Polish diplomats have already left the territory of our country for carrying out activities that were incompatible with their status," the Foreign Ministry reported, using the diplomatic language for an accusation of spying.
Poland earlier expelled several Russian diplomats for carrying out activities that were incompatible with their status.
