Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister met with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in the Syrian capital Damascus on Wednesday as the Kremlin reasserted its support for the Syrian strongman’s regime.
Bogdanov’s meeting with members of Syrian National Coalition moderate opposition group was intended to show Moscow’s will to assist in political settlement of the Syrian civil war which is being fought on numerous fronts, having spread to Iraq earlier this year, Ukraine Today informed.
