Hundreds of Moscow residents have marched in the capital’s streets against numerous expected hospital closures and staff layoffs, Ukraine Today has reported.
Since the Russian government’s announcement in mid-October of healthcare reforms that would eventually result in job cuts and the closure of many health institutions across Russia, the public has been showing its discontent with the plans, Ukraine Today says.
Russia’s socialist organizations have called for return to the Soviet-era healthcare system.
