Poland is to launch a rescue operation to evacuate its nationals from Donetsk and Luhansk regions for further resettlement on Polish territory, according to Radio Poland.
The authorities have not elaborated on the details of the mission, which may cost up to EUR 1 million, citing security concerns, Ukraine Today reports.
One Polish citizen was killed in the region in December 2014 after reportedly being beaten and shot by Russian-backed insurgents.
