The United States has offered rewards totaling up to $20 million for information about four top leaders of the Islamic State Islamist group, according to the State Department.
Washington is ready to pay $7 million for information about one of the leaders of Islamic State in Iraq, Abd al-Rahman Mustafa al-Qaduli, $5 million for information about the former Georgian military man Tarkhan Batirashvili (known under the name Umar al-Shishani) who operates in northern Syria , and the same amount - for information about official "spokesman" of the group, Abu Mohammed al-Adnani, according to the BBC’s Russian Service.
A $3 million reward is being offered for information about Tariq Bin Al Tahar Bin Al Falih Al 'Awni Al Harzi,who leads a group of militants operating on the Syrian-Turkish border.
Earlier Tarkhan Batirashvili and another 11 people were listed on the sanctions blacklist of the United States on suspicion of aiding and abetting terrorism.
