Twelve Russian fighter planes were spotted over the Baltic Sea close to the Latvian border, according to the Latvian military, following a last month report of five Russian military aircraft being spotted near Latvian airspace.
Russia has been recently increasing its military presence in the Baltics in a move that many see as classic saber rattling.
Earlier in May, Swedish Air Forces intercepted two Russian bombers over the Baltic Sea close to the Swedish airspace, according to Ukraine Today.
