Georgia’s religious leaders visited the Mukhatgverdi military cemetery in Tbilisi on August 10 to pay their respects to the national troops killed in the 2008 August War with Russia.
Vigils were held all across the country to mark the seventh anniversary of a five-day standoff with the Russian army which claimed lives of 166 Georgian army servicemen, 14 police officers, and more than 220 civilians, Ukraine Today reports.
