Presidents of the Russian Federation and Syria, Vladimir Putin and Bashar al-Assad, held a meeting in Moscow discussing cooperation between the Russian air force and the Syrian army, according to Sergei Ivanov, head of the Kremlin administration, Russia’s RIA Novosti reported.
"They discussed issues of cooperation between the Military Space Forces of Russia and the Ground Forces of Syria. I also presume that they discussed the issues of the upcoming political settlement," said Ivanov.
As UNIAN reported earlier, Syrian President Bashar Assad arrived in Moscow on Tuesday night and held talks with Russian leader Vladimir Putin. Russia’s top authorities attended the extended part of the negotiations.
