Direct flights launched between Ukraine, North Macedonia

Windrose will fly on Thursdays and Sundays.

Direct flights between Ukraine and North Macedonia were launched for the first time in history on December 6, 2020.

"We are further expanding the freedom of travel for Ukrainians. Ukraine and North Macedonia signed visa-free travel last year. A direct flight Kyiv-Skopje launched for the first time in history. From now on, our countries are connected by regular flights. This is about development of not only tourism, but also contacts," Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba wrote on Twitter.

Departure from Boryspil Airport is at 10:50 local time, while arrival in Skopje is at 12:00. From Skopje, the plane departs at 12:50, arriving in Kyiv at 16:10.

Ambassador of Ukraine to North Macedonia Natalia Zadorozhniuk during the ceremony of welcoming the maiden flight to Skopje said it was the first direct flight on the route Kyiv-Skopje-Kyiv in history of relations between the countries.

On November 26, 2020, the Ukrainian Embassy in Northern Macedonia announced the launch of direct flights between the countries, noting that the presence of direct flights would help intensify bilateral cooperation, namely strengthening business ties, developing tourism in the two countries.
