Alstom, France's high-speed train maker, is looking for a production site in Ukraine.
"I've just met with French Alstom, the world's third largest manufacturer of power equipment and railway transport. The company has come to Ukraine with investment and is now looking for a site to launch joint or new production facilities," Ukrainian Minister of Economic Development and Trade Stepan Kubiv wrote on Facebook on Thursday.

According to him, the company also needs IT partners, engineering solutions, manufacturers of electrical and mechanical equipment, partners for joint production of electric locomotives and spare parts.
The minister assured the French giant that Ukraine is exactly what they need for investment.
As UNIAN reported, PJSC Ukrzaliznytsia railways administration and Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers earlier completed talks with General Electric on the supply and production of diesel locomotives. The US$ 1 billion agreement between Ukrzaliznytsia and GE Transportation foresees modernization of the railways and development of a production program.
