Ukrainians declare almost US$2.2 bln in income for 2017

Ukrainian citizens declared UAH 57.5 billion (US$2.2 billion) in income received in 2017 during the 2018 declaration campaign, which was 13% up from the previous campaign.

Ukrainians submitted more than 507,000 declarations of assets, the State Fiscal Service (SFS) of Ukraine said.

"The total amount declared by taxpayers was UAH 57.5 billion, which was 13%, or UAH 6.7 billion [$255 million] more than in the corresponding period of last year. A total of UAH 2.1 billion [79.9 million] in individual income tax and UAH 259.8 million [$9.9 million] in war tax were declared for payment, which exceeded the figures of the corresponding period in 2017 by 28% and 15%, respectively," the report said.

The number of taxpayers who declared over UAH 10 million increased from seven persons in 2017 to 12 in 2018.

As UNIAN reported earlier, some 513,000 Ukrainians declared their assets during the declaration campaign in 2017. The total amount of declared assets was estimated at UAH 50.8 billion ($1.9 billion), which was 4% higher than the figure in 2016. Payments of individual income tax amounted to UAH 1.62 billion ($61.6 million), and those of war tax to UAH 226.5 million ($8.6 million).
