Rada's Budget Committee backs dismissal of finance minister

Head of the Financial and Economic Analysis Office in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Victor Maziarchuk has said the Verkhovna Rada Committee for Budget Affairs backed the draft resolution on the dismissal of Ukrainian Finance Minister Oleksandr Danyliuk from his post.

As Maziarchuk wrote on Facebook, referring to the results of today's meeting of the committee, the minister was invited to the meeting, but none of the representatives of the Ministry of Finance came.

"If he was present, I think the discussion would be hot and, probably, the decision would not have been made. Three people abstained," he said.

At the same time, Maziarchuk said the only one who had publicly called the committee's decision wrong and stated the need to hear the finance minister was MP Viktor Pynzenyk, who is a member of the committee.

"An interesting coincidence. Before that, the deputies backed the redistribution of expenses of the State Fund for Regional Development," he added.
