"I signed a request to the Verkhovna Rada to dismiss Minister of Finance Oleksandr Danyliuk. After the conflict provoked by him at a Government meeting, he allowed himself actions which, in my opinion, were incompatible with his further stay in office as a member of the Cabinet of Ministers," Groysman wrote on Facebook.

The prime minister stressed: "The dissemination of distorted information among our international partners on the eve of important negotiations with the EU could jeopardize their outcome."

Groysman added that "unfortunately, Oleksandr Danyliuk failed to make adjustments to his chosen line of conduct even after discussing the situation with members of the government team."

"Therefore, I don't see the opportunities for him to remain its member so I ask people's deputies to support my submission," Groysman wrote. "In the context of the challenges we have, the issue of changing the head of the Ministry of Finance must be resolved without delay."
