The official says the EU ambassadors will deal with the amendments in late June.
Deputy Minister for Energy Michał Kurtyka says Warsaw demands to speed up work on amendments in the EU gas directive, which complicates the construction of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline.
According to the amended directive, all gas pipelines, including those imported that run along sea routes, will be subject to the EU regulations, Radio Poland's Ukrainian service reported.

The official says the EU ambassadors will deal with the amendments in late June. "This the crown of hard, painstaking and months-long work of Polish diplomats," he said.
According to Kurtyka, Bulgaria, which has been running the work of the EU in the first half of the year, slowed the pace of work on the document. The European Commission proposed the amendments to the directive in November last year. However, Bulgaria organized only expert meetings in this matter and did not postpone the voting at the level of ambassadors and ministers.
Austria will start its EU presidency on July 1. The official says Poland expects from the Austrian presidency objectivity rather than taking care of its own interests.
"The country-president should behave neutrally. We will strongly remind you the management of the EU's work should be transparent and credible," he said.
As UNIAN reported, Naftogaz of Ukraine earlier said that Nord Stream 2 would "kill" the competition in the European market under the influence of Gazprom's gas blackmail.
