The auction on June 18 failed due to the lack of interest.

As reported by UNIAN, Ukraine's Ministry of Justice in May 2017 notified Russia's gas monopolist Gazprom on the seizure of shares of its subsidiary company Gastransit as part of recovery from Gazprom of a fine worth almost UAH 190 billion (US$7.26 billion) issued by the Antimonopoly Committee Ukraine.

Gastransit was founded in November 1997 to expand the capacity of the Ukrainian gas transport system to increase transit shipments of Russian gas to Turkey and the Balkans.
