Ukrainian agrarians as of July 4 threshed 4.7 million tonnes of grains from an area of 1.6 million hectares, according to the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.
The average yield of cereals is 29.3 c/ha, the report says.
In particular, the agrarians collected 2.58 million tonnes of winter wheat from an area of 883,300 hectares with a yield of 29.2 c/ha; 1.9 million tonnes of winter barley from 578,000 hectares with a yield of 32.6 c/ha; 2,200 tonnes of spring wheat from 800 hectares with a yield of 28.2 c/ha; 70,300 tonnes of spring barley from 36,900 hectares with a yield of 19.1 c/ha; and 124,400 tonnes of peas from an area of 92,000 hectares with a yield of 19.1 c/ha.

In addition, in 17 regions, winter rapeseed harvesting is underway, with 505,000 tonnes already threshed from an area of 251,000 hectares (25% against the forecast) with a yield of 20.2 c/ha.
As UNIAN reported, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, despite this year's drought, retained the earlier forecast of the grain crop in 2018-2019 MY at 60 million tonnes.
According to the State Statistics Service, the harvest of grains and leguminous crops in Ukraine in 2017 decreased by 7.3% compared to 2016, amounting to 61.3 million tonnes.
