Acting head of the State Property Fund (SPF) of Ukraine Vitaliy Trubarov says the SPF plans to receive revenue from the privatization in 2018, which will exceed the figure reported in 2017; however, the plan for state property sale in 2018 will not be fulfilled.

"We will definitely look better against the previous year due to the ongoing small privatization. [The state-owned power generating company] Centrenergo will definitely be sold this year, as well as some other enterprises," he said at a meeting of the Special Control Commission of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Privatization held on July 5.

At the same time, Trubarov noted that the SPF would clearly not be able to fulfill the planned target for privatization proceeds in 2018.

"Even today, we realize that the planned target we were tasked with will not be achieved," he added.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine's national budget received almost UAH 3.4 billion ($128.6 million) in revenue from privatization in 2017.

Ukraine's national budget for 2018 provides for UAH 21.3 billion ($805.9 million) in privatization proceeds.
