Former EBRD Director for Ukraine becomes head of Ukrzaliznytsia Supervisory Board

Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers approved new members of the supervisory board in late June.

Former Country Director for Ukraine at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Sevki Acuner has become head of the newly created Supervisory Board of Ukrainian state-run railways operator JSC Ukrzaliznytsia.

The Ukrzaliznytsia Supervisory Board was elected at the company's meeting on Tuesday, July 17, according to an UNIAN correspondent.

Daniel Bilak became deputy head of the supervisory board, while Miroslav Molnar was elected Ukrzaliznytsia corporate secretary. The participants in the meeting also formed the supervisory board's committees.

As UNIAN reported earlier, in late June, Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers approved a new composition of Ukrzaliznytsia supervisory board, including seven members: Atlantic Council expert Anders Aslund, manager of the German railway management company Kun Christian, world's leading financial and accounting specialist Andreas Mathieu, former EBRD Country Director for Ukraine Sevki Acuner, director of the Ukraine Investment Promotion Office Daniel Bilak, representative of Ukraine's government Kostyantyn Marievich, as well as another representative of the Ukraine Investment Promotion Office Ivan Yuryk.
