Ukrainians by most real estate property in Poland among all foreigners

The trend has remained stable for three consecutive years.

Ukrainians in 2017 purchased more apartments and houses in Poland than any other foreign nationals, Polish media report.

In particular, last year Ukrainian citizens purchased apartments totaling 70,000 square meters, which is 16% more year-over-year, Dziennik wrote, adding that the trend has remained stable for three consecutive years already.

 At the same time, the total demand from foreigners was at 264,000 square meters (+6% per year).

Thus, Ukrainians bought 27% of all real estate property purchased by foreigners.

With Ukrainians topping the rating, houses and apartments were mostly bought by Germans, Brits, Belarusians, and French.

The most popular apartments were those in Warsaw, Krakow and Wroclaw. In 2017, foreigners purchased 1,047 houses and apartments in the capital, which is 5% less y-o-y.
