Maize shipments abroad totaled 799,000 tonnes.
Ukrainian farmers exported 2.8 million tonnes of grain from July 1, 2018, when a new marketing year began (July 2018 through June 2019), to August 8, 2018.
In particular, they exported 1.3 million tonnes of wheat and 796,000 tonnes of barley, the Ukrainian Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry's press service said.

Over the period under review, farmers also supplied 3,200 tonnes of wheat flour abroad.
As UNIAN reported earlier, 39.4 million tonnes of grain was exported in the previous marketing year (July 2017 through June 2018).
