Three Ukrainian-based companies have submitted their bids for a tender to build a subway section worth UAH 5.99 billion (US$221 million) that will extend the Syretsko-Pecherska line from the Syrets subway station to the Vynohradar residential area in Kyiv's Podilsky district.

The bidders are JSC Interbudtunnel (Kyiv), PJSC Kyivmetrobud (Kyiv), and Adamant Construction Company LLC (Mukachevo), according to the ProZorro e-procurement system's website.

As reported, the price accounts for 75% of the criterion for choosing the winner, while the length of the construction for 25%.

The tender is scheduled for August 16, 2018.

The estimated price of construction services is UAH 5.99 billion ($221 million). Initially, it was set at UAH 6.3 billion ($232 million).

As UNIAN reported earlier, municipally owned Kyiv Metro subway in January announced a tender worth UAH 6.32 billion for extending the Syretsko-Pecherska line to Kyiv's Vynohradar residential area.

It was reported that UAH 2.6 billion from the national budget would be allocated to Kyiv for the subway construction in 2018. Experts say the construction of a new line may be completed in 2020-2030. In July 2017, Kyiv Metro announced plans to build the Mostytska and Prospekt Pravdy subway stations at the Syretsko-Pecherska line from the Syrets station to the Vynohradar area before the end of 2019.

Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko earlier announced that the extension of the subway line towards the Vynohradar residential area had to start in late 2017.
