The funds are to be used to support settlements most affected by Russian armed aggression.
Lithuania in 2019 will allocate about EUR 1 million to support the war-torn Donbas, according to Oleksandr Kuts, head of the Donetsk regional state administration.
"Next year, the Lithuanian government plans to allocate about one million euros from the budget in support of Ukraine," Kuts wrote on Facebook, referring to the Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania to Ukraine, Marius Janukonis following their meeting.

According to the Ambassador, Lithuania intends to send funds to support settlements most affected by Russian armed aggression.
The parties also discussed the list of facilities that need financing: schools, water pipes, and road checkpoints.
"The final decision on where to distribute financial support will be accepted by the Lithuanian government," said Kuts.
