As UNIAN reported earlier, in early July, Ukrainian officials refuted the reports by a number of Russian news agencies about the alleged malfunctioning of recently received Javelins. The Russian-favored disinformation piece alleged that U.S.-supplied ATGMs had certain technical flaws and that Ukrainian missile developers had allegedly complained about them to the National Security and Defense Council.

Tina Kaidanow, the State Department’s acting assistant secretary for political-military affairs, said such reports represented “propaganda of the worst kind.”
