Ukrainian citizen needs to work for 136 days to buy new iPhone XS

Analysts say a Ukrainian citizen will need to work for 136 full working days to buy Apple's newest iPhone XS, according to their study carried out in Ukraine and some other countries.

This is on condition that Ukrainians will not spend money on clothes, food, housing, utilities, etc.

Statistics are based on official data on the average salary in each country, as well as on official prices of the iPhone XS 64 GB model.

So, to buy the iPhone XS, a citizen of Switzerland will need to work for 5.1 days, a citizen of Luxembourg, for almost seven days and Norway and Denmark for over seven days. A citizen of the United Arab Emirates will need 7.6 working days to earn money for this model. Some 8.4 working days are needed to get this smartphone in the United States.

Most of the European Union countries are in the middle of the rating. So, one needs to work for 10.5 days in Austria, Germany, Finland, and France, while about 27 days are required to buy the iPhone in Greece and Portugal.

Citizens of Poland, Slovakia, Lithuania, Latvia, and Hungary will have to work for 32 to 38 days to save money for their iPhones.

Citizens of Pakistan and Kazakhstan will have to work for 88 and 86 days, respectively, while those in the Philippines will need as many as 156 working days to buy the iPhone.

The media earlier reported that the iPhone XR, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and the new Apple Watch would be available in Ukraine in the first half of October.
