The Security Service of Ukraine has exposed the facts of the unlawful supply of materials to the Russian Federation, used for the construction of the so-called Kerch Strait bridge in the illegally annexed Crimea that connects the occupied peninsula with mainland Russia.

Security operatives have collected evidence peroving that the management of one of the Ukrainian enterprises that mines break stone has set up deliveries to the Russian Federation, the SBU press service reports. The suspects mined minerals without relevant permits in the quarries owned by a Russian national, then selling break stone via intermediaries of a Russian company that is a subsidiary of JSC Mostozhelezhelezobetonkonstruktsiya.

“SBU operatives learned found that the company, while purchasing products from Ukrainian suppliers, carried out works on the construction of the so-called 'Crimean bridge.' A total of twenty-five deliveries of break stone with a total weight of 28,000 tonnes was made to Russia. Because of the cooperation of the Ukrainian commercial structure with Russian enterprises that carry out economic activities on the temporarily annexed territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the investigation sees in the actions of businessmen signs of support for the occupational administration of the Russian Federation on the peninsula,” the statement reads.

Law enforcers "conducted warranted investigative actions in the premises of the quarry administration and at the place of actual residence of the enterprise CEO.
