Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman says Ukraine sees a number of opportunities for deepening cooperation with the United States of America in the energy sector.
"We see a wide range of opportunities for deepening cooperation in the energy sector between the United States and Ukraine. This includes Ukrainian natural gas production, gas transmission system [GTS] management, nuclear energy, and other areas," the prime minister said during a meeting with U.S. Secretary of Energy Rick Perry in Kyiv on November 12.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine transported 93 bcm of gas to the European countries in 2017, which was a record high amount in the past years.
Transit shipments of natural gas through the Ukrainian gas transmission system in 2016 grew by 23% from 2015, to 82.2 bcm.
