Ukraine-Lithuania trade up by 20% - Vice Prime Minister

At the end of 2017, trade turnover between the countries amounted to almost $1.1 billion.

The trade turnover between Ukraine and Lithuania this year has grown by 20%, First Vice Prime Minister - Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Stepan Kubiv announced during the opening of the fourth Ukrainian-Lithuanian economic forum on Friday.

“This year's growth is 20%. The most important thing is that the priority and nomenclature of cooperation are expanding,” Kubiv noted.

In addition, the First Vice Prime Minister added that last year the trade turnover between the countries grew by 40% and amounted to almost $1.1 billion.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the trade turnover between Ukraine and Lithuania in 2017 increased to $1.054 billion, while the countries plan to strengthen their logistic capabilities.

UNIAN memo. According to estimates of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, Ukraine’s foreign trade balance in 2017 was reduced with a deficit of $2.625 billion against the $541.6 million surplus in the previous year.
