Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has said the European Union within a special project will allocate EUR 50 million to support the security of the Azov coast of Ukraine.

"There is a special project due to the Russian aggression in the neutral waters of the Black Sea, namely EUR 50 million are allocated to the Azov coast, support for Mariupol, Berdyansk. But there will be also enough money for the Black Sea coast, we will also provide that, and for the Danube, we will do that as well," he said at the Regional Development Council in Odesa region, an UNIAN correspondent reports.
According to Poroshenko, Ukraine's path to Europe opens new opportunities for the united territorial communities and access to European resources for the implementation of regional development projects.
