The situation with helicopter rotor blades and warplane spare parts is most critical.
Ukrainian Army requires spare parts for military equipment that are produced exclusively in Russia, among them – ultra-high-frequency devices, components for infantry fighting vehicles, armored personnel carriers, T-72 tanks, anti-aircraft missile systems, helicopters, and warplanes, that's according to a head of the Armament Department of Ukraine's Armed Forces, Major General Mykola Shevtsov.
Over the past five years, the country's defense companies overhauled nearly 5,500 units of weapons and military equipment and more than 12,500 units and assemblies (engines, transmissions, etc.), the official told a Kyiv briefing Monday, according to an UNIAN correspondent.
In line with the State Defense Order, more than 4,000 units of the main types of weapons and military equipment and more than 1 million units of other devices and armament was delivered to the Ukrainian Army.

"We have mastered the average repair of about 20 samples of weapons and military equipment, including the repair of all artillery systems, the overhaul of units and assemblies of individual types of weapons," Shevtsov said.
However, the official stresses the fact that, despite the measures taken, issues remain with certain spare parts and assemblies.
These parts, the chief of the Armaments noted, unfortunately, are manufactured exclusively in the Russian Federation: these are ultra-high-frequency devices, components for infantry fighting vehicles, armored personnel carriers, T-72 tanks, and anti-aircraft missile systems. “The most critical is the situation with helicopter rotor blades and spare parts for warplanes,” Shevtsov added.
