Finance Ministry borrows UAH 10.2 bln, US$85.2 mln in domestic market

A total of UAH 12.531 billion was raised in the hryvnia equivalent at the NBU forex rate.

Ukraine's Finance Ministry borrowed UAH 10.219 billion (US$374.8 million) and US$85.2 million for the national budget at the latest weekly auction on issuing government domestic loan bonds.

The hryvnia funds were raised through the placement of securities with 98-, 168-, 245-, 315-, 518-, 672-, and 1,022-day maturity periods and a weighted average yield of 19.5%, 18.99%, 18.49%, 18.5%, 18.25%, 17.98%, and 17.25% per annum, respectively, according to the ministry's website.

Foreign currency funds were attracted through the placement of securities in U.S. dollars with 91-, 329- and 694-day maturity periods and a weighted average yield of 6.5%, 7.25%, and 7.5% per annum.
