REUTERS Costs related to servicing public debt in 2018 amounted to UAH 115.4 billion (US$4.24 billion), which is 3.6 times more against 2013. Expenditures grew by 4.4%, or UAH 4.9 billion (US$180.3 million), from 2017, according to the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine. The volume of public and government-guaranteed debt of Ukraine in 2018 increased in dollar equivalent by $2.02 billion, or 2.6%, to $78.32 billion. In hryvnia equivalent, the volume of public debt for the said period rose UAH 26.94 billion, or 1.3%, up to UAH 2.169 trillion. In relation to GDP, public and government-guaranteed debt of Ukraine in 2018 decreased to about 62.7% from 71.8% in 2017.
