"This became possible, in essence, after specialists from Hungarian firm MOL conducted additional analyses of the oil currently held in the pipeline and confirmed their readiness to accept it," the company said on Facebook on Saturday.

Transit of oil via Ukrainian territory was temporarily halted on the evening of April 25 after European consumers refused to accept Russian oil with a high content of organic chlorides, referring to JSC Gomeltransneft Druzhba's April 19 report on non-conformity of the mass fraction of organic chlorides in oil coming through the Druzhba pipeline from Russia.

As UNIAN reported earlier, on April 19, Gomeltransneft Druzhba informed Ukrtransnafta on the receipt of oil from the technological section of the Transneft Druzhba oil pipeline with deteriorated quality indicators.

On April 22, Ukrtransnafta strengthened its oil quality control measures, and on April 25, it forcedly suspended the transit of oil through the Mozyr-Brody pipeline.

The company made such a decision, guided by an agreement on the provision of oil transmission services through the territory of Ukraine. According to the terms of the agreement, Ukrtransnafta is entitled to halting the intake of Russian oil if raw materials fail not meet quality indicators.

On April 26, the press service of Ukrtransnafta said that during the negotiations of the operators of the Druzhba oil transmission system, Russian representatives pledged to resume the transit of high-quality oil from May 3.
