Deficit of Ukraine's national budget almost doubles in four months – Finance ministry

The deficit of Ukraine's national budget in January-April 2019 amounted to UAH 1.7 billion, or US$64.5 million, which is almost twice as high as the previously announced level of deficit, which was UAH 0.9 billion, or US$34.2 million.

Over the period under review, revenue of the national budget was UAH 322.6 billion, or US$12.25 billion, which was 18.2% higher than last year's figure, but 4.3% lower than the plan, Ukraine's Finance Ministry said on its website.

UNIAN memo. Ukraine's national budget in January-March 2019 posted a deficit of UAH 26.2 billion, or US$0.99 billion, which was 27% higher than the figure for the same period of the previous year. The national budget for 2019 foresees revenue in the amount of UAH 1.026 trillion, or US$39 billion, while spending is expected at UAH 1.112 trillion, or US$42 billion, the maximum amount of the deficit is UAH 89.989 billion, or US$3.4 billion.
