Ukraine's state-owned banks in January-March 2019 (Q1) posted UAH 8.1 billion (US$307.5 million) in net profit, which accounted for 63% of the entire banking sector's profit.

Loans issued to individuals over the period under review increased by 5%, whereas those extended to legal entities shrank by 4%, Ukraine's Finance Ministry said on its website on May 24.
Individuals' funds grew by 1%, while those of entities and non-bank financial institutions also expanded by 1%.
