Ukraine central bank may ease curbs on repatriating dividends, governor says: Reuters

Ukraine's central bank may ease restrictions on how much money in dividends non-resident investors can take out of the country, Governor Yakiv Smolii told reporters on Tuesday.

Smolii did not specify whether the central bank would raise or scrap the limit, which now stands at EUR 12 million a month, Reuters reports.

Ukraine also scrapped a rule last week that requires businesses to sell 30 percent of their foreign currency earnings on the interbank foreign exchange market.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has showcased a brand new banknote worth UAH 1,000.
