According to the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, following the evaluation of candidates, the competition committee recommended that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine appoint Nefyodov Chairman of the State Customs Service.
The Finance Ministry stressed that creating an efficient, transparent and corruption-free customs service is the top requirement on the part of honest businesses and a key condition for accelerating economic growth. “

As UNIAN reported, the National Agency of Ukraine for Civil Service held the final stage of the competition for the position of chairman of the new State Customs Service. Three candidates took part in the interview: Yevheny Harmash, Vice-Rector of the University of Customs and Finance, Andriy Savarets, head of public organization Digital Economy Development Center, and Maksym Nefyodov, First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade.
The Cabinet of Ministers in December 2018 decided to reorganize the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine by dividing it into state tax and customs services.
The competition for the post of the head of the customs service since mid-April this year was blocked by the decision of the District Administrative Court of Kyiv on the claim of MP Andriy Antonishchak.
In June, the Court of Appeal considered the complaint of the Cabinet of Ministers and decided to renew the government order to hold a competition for the position of the head of the State Customs Service.
