"The most popular stores among Ukrainians are eBay (28% of all parcels delivered), Amazon (22%) and 6pm (more than 13%). Carter's, Victoria's Secret, and H&M are in the top demand among buyers, as well," the Ukrainian online newspaper Ukrayinska Pravda reported on June 24, referring to the country's Nova Poshta postal service.

As reported, Ukrainians most often buy clothes, including for children, shoes, gadgets, and cosmetics from abroad. A wide choice of goods and their quality, as well as prices, which are lower than in Ukraine, attract buyers.

The average price of parcels is US$66, while their average weight is 1.6 kilograms.

Men are the most active buyers (59%). Those aged 25-34 account for 53%.

Residents of the capital city of Kyiv order goods most often. However, residents of Dnipro, Kharkiv, Odesa, and Lviv are also active in buying goods from abroad, the Nova Poshta postal service provider said.

Demand for delivery via its NP Shopping service (purchase and delivery of goods) grew by 27% year-over-year, the company said. NP Shopping users ordered goods mostly from the United States.

Over the past five months, the number of parcels from Great Britain has also increased by almost 80%, while those from Poland more than tripled, the company added.

Nova Poshta recalled that customs and taxation rules for parcels from abroad would change from July 1, in particular, the tax-free limit will be reduced from EUR 150 to EUR 100.
